In a second grade class containing 14 girls and 8 boys, 2 students are selected at random to give out the math papers. What is the probability that the second student chosen is a girl, given that the first one was a boy?

Finding the probability of that second student chosen is boy :

Total number of students =14+8=22

Out of those students, number of girls students is equal to 14

And number of boys is equal to 8.

Now, The probability that the second student chosen is girl

It given that, first selected student is a boys,

Probability =1421=0.66

Hence, the probability that second student chosen is girl is 0.66.
