There are many unhygenic conditions that are seen in slum areas.They are: 1) The stagnant water in ponds, wells, ditches, coolers, etc. 2) Sustenance of garbage in nearby areas. 3) Water-logging or, filling up of open areas with water helps the mosquitoes to breed as they lay eggs on the water. 4) Not covering food or drink items and leaving them out in the open helps the mosquitoes to breed by providing them with food. 5)The mixing of sewage water with drinking water.
