We have,
r= radius of cylindrical pillar =28cm=28100m
h= height of cylindrical pillar =4m
∴ curved surface area of a cylindrical pillar = 2πrh=2×227×28100×4cm2
∴ Curved surface area of 25 pillar = 2×227×28100×4×25m2=176m2
Hence, total cost of painting at the rate of Rs 8 per m2=Rs(176×8)=Rs1408
