Let $x$ be the number of questions answered correctly.

Number of questions attempted = 60 - 10 = 50
Number of questions answered incorrectly is $=50-x$.

According to the question, marks obtained is
$\Rightarrow 3x-(50-x)=110$
$\Rightarrow 4x-50=110$
$\Rightarrow 4x=110+50$
$\Rightarrow 4x=160$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{160}{4}$
$\Rightarrow x=40$

Thus, Ranjan has attempted 40 questions correctly.
