Let the base angles 'B' and 'C' be x.

Therefore, the vertical angle= A= x-30

We know that the sum of all the angles of a triangle is 180

A + B + C= 180

(x-30) + x + x= 180

3x - 30=180

3x= 180+30= 210

x=2103=70

Therefore, A= x - 30 = 70 - 30 = 40
