The correct options are A5+√6 B5−√6 Ans. (a) and (d). As in part (b),∠B=60o Also a=10,b=9. ∴cosB=(a2+c2−b2)/2ac ⇒cos60o=(100+c2−81)(/2ac) ⇒1/2=(19+c2)/(20c)⇒10c=19+c2 or c2−10c+19=0 ∴c=10±√(100−76)2=5±√6. Since both the value of c are positive and less then both a and b, we have the answer (a)
