Given:
In a tug of war match, team A displaces team B by 30 cm i.e 0.3 m from the reference line.
Force applied by team A = 150 N
Force applied by team B = 120 N
Here we are asked to calculate energy spent by team A which will be equal to work done by team A in displacing team B.
Therefore work done by team A in displacing team B = force applied on team B by team A x displacement of team B
= 150×0.3
= 45 J
Hence, the energy spent by team A = 45 J
