In a two digit number the digit at the units place is thrice the digit in the tens place number exceeds the sum of its digit by 27 find the number

Let, tens place digit is = x.

Then, unit place digit = 3x.

So, the number is

= (x × 10) + 3x

= 10x + 3x

= 13x.

Sum of the digits = x + 3x = 4x.

Given that the number exceeds the sum of its digits by 27.

Then,

13x = 4x + 27

or, 9x = 27

or, x = 3.
