Question

In a uniform circular motion, direction keeps changing , so velocity also changes. Which linear or angular velocity is chnaging?

Solution

Dear Student,

angular velocity or ω is defined by a magnitude and direction ( either clockwise or anti-clockwise directed either inside or coming out of the plane) since in a uniform circular motion the particle is travelling with a constant speed in either clockwise or anticlockwise motion hence angular velocity remains constant. but
linear velocity( given as v=ω×R) acts tangential to the moving body. Its direction is given by the right hand rule, and since the particle is moving on a circle its direction changes at every position. But the magnitude of linear velocity remains constant.

Regards.
