Solution

Step 1: To find the ratio of money Seema saves to the money she spends.

Given money she earns =1,50,000

money she saves =50,000

money she spends =1,50,000-50,000

=1,00,000

Step 2: Now find the ratio

Required Ratio =50,000 : 1,00,000

Step 3: Convert ratio into fraction and write it into simplest form

50,000:1,00,000 can be written as

=50,0001,00,000,divide the numerator and denominator by 10,000

=50,000/10,0001,00,000/10,000

=510

=12

Hence, the ratio of money she saves to the money she spends is 1:2
