Democracy isn't very successful in reducing economic inequality and so are other forms of government too. There can be many factors that are prevailing in a country that make it incapable to bring about equitable distribution of wealth. They can be:

  • Large population
  • Unemployment
  • Unskilled labour
  • Vicious circle of poverty
  • Low literacy rates
