The given equation of alternating voltage is
ε= 2002sin(100t) V ....(i)
The standard equation of alternating voltage is
ε= ε0sin(ωt) ....(ii)
Comparing (i) and (ii), we get
ε0 =2002 V, ω=100 rad s1
The capacitive reactance is
XC=1ωC=1100×1×106 Ω
The r.m.s. value of current in the circuit is
irms= VrmsXC= e0/21/ωC=(2002/2)1/100×106= 20 mA
