We know
xm=kp1/n

or, logxmlogk+1nlogp

Plot of logxmvslogp is linear

with slope =1n and intercept =logk

Hence, 1n=tanθ=tan45o=1 i.e., n=1

and logk=0.3010 or k= antilog (0.3010)=2

At p=0.5 atm, xm=kp1/n=2×(0.5)1=1.0.
