Solution

There are total 50 fish in the aquarium.

Out of these 50 fish,
Number of red fish = 15, i.e., 1550=310 fraction of the total fish in the aquarium are red in color.

Number of blue fish= 5, i.e., 550=110 fraction of the total fish in the aquarium are blue in color.

Number of yellow fish = 30, i.e., 3050=35 fraction of the total fish in the aquarium are yellow in color.

The fractions of different fish are summarized in the table below:
Color of Fish Number of Fish Fraction
Red 15 310
Blue 5 110
Yellow 30 35
Total 501 11

We know that for calculating percentage, we multiply the fraction part by 100 as tabulated below.
Color of Fish Number of Fish Percentage
Red 15 310×100=30%
Blue 5 110×100=10%
Yellow 30 35×100=60%
Total 50 11×100=100%

Out of total 50 fish,
30% are red fish,
10% are blue fish,
60% are yellow fish.
