Question

In an electric field an electron is kept freely . if the electron is replaced by a proton what will be the relationship between the forces experienced by them

Open in App
Solution

since the electric field is kept constant . therefore the force on electron will be equal to the force acting on the proton but will be in opposite direction.

direction of force on proton will be the same as that of the elctric field but the direction of force on the electron is opposite to the direction of electric field because charge of proton is positive and charge of electron is negative
hope you understand this
