Solution

  1. An electrical fuse is an electrical instrument that is used to prevent damage to an electrical circuit.
  2. If a fuse wire melts and the circuit breaks, it is replaced by a new wire.
  3. Live wire (L), Neutral wire (N), and Earth wire (E) are the three connecting wires used in a domestic circuit (E).
  4. The potential of the neutral and earth lines is the same.
  5. The live wire is linked to the switch.
  6. The main fuse is attached to the live wire, and it burns out in the event of a large current, cutting the connections and saving the appliances.
  7. Thus, the change which is to be done in the fuse connection is to place the fuse in the live wire instead of the neutral wire.
