In an international seminar on Oncology, surgeons from different countries participated. 18 of the participants were from the U.S, 15 from UK, 112 from other European countries and the remaining participants were Indian. If 71 Indian surgeons participated, find the total number of surgeons who attended the seminar.

It is given that,

The participants from US = 18

The participants from UK= 15

The participants from other European countries= 112

The participants from India= 71

Let the total number of participants be represented by 1, then the portion of total paticipants India will be

1-15+18+112=1-49120=71120

Now 71120x=71x=120

So, the total number of surgeon attended the seminar was 120
