As $A B = A C$
$\Rightarrow ∠ B = ∠ C = 65^{o}$ [Opposite angle to equal sides are equal]
$∴ ∠ A = 180^{o} - 65^{o} - 65^{o} = 50^{o}$
The side opposite to the shortest angle is the shortest.
$∴ B C$ is the shortest side.
