(a) Chromosomes move to spindle equator and get aligned along metaphase plate.
(b) Centromere of each chromosome is towards the equator when chromosomes move away from the equatorial plate.
(c) Each chromosome arranged at the metaphase plate is split simultaneously.Chromosomes move to spindle equator and get aligned along metaphase plate through spindle fibres to both poles during metaphase.
As each chromosome moves away from the equatorial plate, the centromere of each chromosome remains directed towards the pole.
