Solution

Light also reflects from rough surfaces. But, due to the irregularities on the rough surface the reflected rays do not actually reflects parallel to each other but at different angels so we can't observe image of an object on it. But, shiny surfaces does because it has even surface and reflece most of the light rays parallel to each other. So, we can easily see the object on it.
In the case of wooden table the image is formed in the same plane where the polished surface lies.Because light can't go through the wooden part in the table. So it reflect back from hitting the wooden suraface just under the polish.
In a glass, every part of ray that enter to a glass not leaving the glass.ie,some are reflected back due to properties like internal reflection. But many part of the incident light goes through it.So that we can so not good quality images. Here light reflect back from air-glass & glass-air surface is responsible for image formation.
