In-class $VI$$,$ $14$ students out of $30$ are girls and in-class $VII$$,$ $18$ students out of $38$ are girls. Which grade has more percentage of girls.

Step 1:- Firstly find the $\%$ of girls in class$VI$:-

.Total number of students in class $VI$ $=30$

Number of girls in class $VI$ $=14$

$\therefore \%$ of girls in class $VI$ $=\frac{Numberofgirls}{Totalnumberofstudents}\times 100$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{14}{30}\times 100\% \\ =\frac{1400}{30}\% \\ =\frac{140}{3}\% \\ =46.66\% \end{gathered}$$

Step 2:- Secondly find the $\%$ of girls in class $VII$ :-

Total number of students in class $VII$ $=38$

Number of girls in class $VII$ $=18$

$\therefore \%$ of girls in class $VII$ $=\frac{NumberofgirlsinclassVII}{TotalnumberofstudentsinclassVII}\times 100$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{18}{38}\times 100\% \\ =\frac{1800}{38}\% \\ =47.36\% \end{gathered}$$

Therefore, $\%$ of girls in class $VI$ $=46.66\%$

$\%$ of girls in class $VII$ $=47.36\%$

Clearly, $47.36\%>46.66\%$

Hence, Grade $VII$ has more percentage of girls
