Solution
Sea Breeze:
In coastal areas, during the day when the sun is up and land gets hotter than the sea.
Therefore the air around the land gets heated up.
Due to the process of convection of heat transfer, the heated air above the land rises up.
A temporary vacuum is created above the land.
Therefore air from the water flows toward the land and fills up this vacuum.
This causes a breeze to move from sea to land.
This breeze is called a sea breeze.
Land Breeze:
In coastal areas, during the night when the temperature is cooler, the land gets colder than the sea.
Therefore the air around the sea gets heated up.
Due to the process of convection of heat transfer, the heated air above the sea rises up.
A temporary vacuum is created above the sea.
Therefore air from the land flows toward the sea and fills up this vacuum.
