In combustion and flame chapter, first lesson, (Essential conditions required for combustion), video, in second case why can't the candle burn, as from top oxygen can enter.

Dear Student,
In second case the candle is not kept on wooden board . Hence , oxygen will come only from the top and not from the bottom . There will be no proper circulation of oxygen in second case. Hence , after sometime candle will stop to burn. But in first case the oxygen will come both from the top as well as from the bottom. Hence , there will be proper circulation of air.
