In BCl3, H=12(3+3+00)=3; sp2 hybridization (bond angle=120) similarly PCl3, AsCl3, and BiCl3 are found to have sp3 hybrized central atom with one lone pair of electrons on the central atom. The bond angle10928, since the central atoms belong to the same group, the bond angle of the chlorides decreases as we go down the group. Thus, the order of bond angle is, BCl3>PCl3>AsCl3>BiCl3.
