By using Thales theorem,

$\frac{AD}{DB}=\frac{AE}{EC}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{2.4}{DB}=\frac{3.2}{4.8}$

$\Rightarrow DB=\frac{4.8\times 2.4}{3.2}$

$\Rightarrow DB=3.6cm.$
