In dicot stem, the cambium that lies between xylem and phloem is called intrafascicular cambium. It is a primary meristem. The cambium that is during during secondary growth is called interfascicular cambium which is secondary in origin. Hence, in dicot stem cambium is partially primary in origin and partially secondary in origin.
