  6. The sugar-phosphate makes the backbone of DNA.
  7. The Covalent bonds between the sugar of one nucleotide and the phosphate group of the next bind to form a chain of nucleotides.

  9. The monosaccharide used in the DNA helix is a deoxyribose sugar.
  10. The nitrogenous bases pair with each other using hydrogen bonds.
