(1) Expression on the left-hand side:
10 − 2 = 8
Expression on the right-hand side:
4 × 2 = 8
10-2 = 4×2

(2) Expression on the left-hand side:
9 − 3 = 6
Expression on the right-hand side:
18 ÷ 3 = 6
9-3 = 18÷3


(3) Expression on the left-hand side:
40 ÷ 5 = 8
Expression on the right-hand side:
2 × 3 − 1
= 6 − 1 (Performing multiplication first)
= 5
40÷5 2×3-1

(4) Expression on the left-hand side:
7 × 6 = 42
Expression on the right-hand side:
22 + 20 = 42
7×6 = 22+20

(5) Expression on the left-hand side:
2 × 2 × 2 = 8
Expression on the right-hand side:
2 × 3 = 6
2×2×2 2×3

(6) Expression on the left-hand side:
5+147=5+2=7

Expression on the right-hand side:
62+3=3+3=6
