In each of the following cases $ABCD$ is a square and $PQRS$ is a rectangle. Find in each case, the area of the shaded portion.
(All measurements are in meter)

$\left(i\right)$ Ar(shaded region)= ar(rect $PQRS$)-ar($ABCD$)

$=32\times 18m^2-14\times 14m^2=(572-196)m^2=380m^2$

$\left(ii\right)$ Ar(shaded region)= -ar($PQRS$)+ar($ABCD$)

$=(48\times 36-6\times 6)m^2=1692m^2$
