In each situation of column I, a system involving two bodies is given. All strings and pulleys are light and friction is absent everywhere. Initially, each body of every system is at rest. Consider the system in all situations of column I from rest till any collision occurs. Then match the statements in column I with the corresponding results in column II.

(C)Since monkey climbs upwards pulls string downwards leading to pull the box also upwards may or may not depends on tension in string.
therefore, since monkey is moving up and block will either move up or stays at rest therefore,COM shifts upwards.
(D)Since both blocks are of same mass and one is moving down then other will automatically move up therefore, velocity of COM=mumu/2m=0
therefore, COM stays at rest.
