In electrolysis of water ,hydrogen is collected at cathode and oxygen is collected at at the anode
The correct option is A True
When an electric current is passed through water containing a little sulphuric acid, which acts as an electrolyte and increases the number of free ions, the water dissociates into hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen gas is liberated at the cathode as it is the negative terminal so it gets attracted towards the cathode and the oxygen been the negative ion gets attracted towards the positive electrode anode.
