in experiment 13.9 why does the galvanometer in coil 2 deflect?

Deflectionin thegalvanometerindicates that the current is induced in the coil due to the relative motion between the magnet and the coil. Thedeflectionin thegalvanometeris reversed when the same pole of the magnet is moved in the opposite direction. And because of relative motion of magnet and coil . galvanometer 2 shows deflection because of above stated reason.
