Find the length of given line segments

Given: A=C, AB=6cm, BP=15cm, AP=12cm and CP=4cm

InAPBand CPD

A=C

APB=CPDVerticallyoppositeangle

Therefore by AA similarity criteria,

APD~CPD

By basic proportionality theorem,

APCP=PBPD=ABCD124=15PD=6CD

Considering APCP=PBPD we get;

PD=15×412=5cm

Considering APCP=ABCD we get,

CD=6×412=2cm

Hence length of CD=2cm and length of PD=5cm
