Let $AB=x$

$BC=y$

& $CD=z$

we are given

$AC=BD\Rightarrow AB+BC=BC+CD$

$\therefore x+y=y+z$

$x=z$

i.e., $AB=CD$

Hence it prove that AB is equal to CD.
