FE=BD=DC=12BC and FE/BC.
DE is its diagonal .
area of ΔBDF = area of ΔDEF
Similarly we can prove area of ΔDEC = area of ΔDEF
area of ΔAEF = area of ΔADEF
But area ΔBDF+ area of ΔDEC+ area of ΔAEF+ area of ΔDEF = area of ΔABC
i.e (area of ΔDEF) = area of ΔABC
area of ΔDEF=14 area of ΔABC
