Radius of semi-circle (r)=1464=84=2cm
Side of a small square 2r=2×2=4cm

Area of big square =(side)2=(14)2=196cm2

Area of a small square =(side)2=(4)2=16cm2

Area of 4 semicircle =4×πr22=4×3.14×(2)22=25.12cm2

Area of shaded region = Area of a big square - Area of a small square - Area of a 4 semicircle.
Area of shaded region=(1961625.12)cm2=154.88cm2
