and AE=AD

i.e, AD=AE ---------- (2)

Now Divide (2) by (1)

ADAB=AEAC(3)

In ΔADE and ΔABC

A=A (common angle)

ADAB=AEAC (from 3)

ΔADEΔABC (SAS similarity criterion)
Hence Proved.
