Radius of big circle =OA=7cm. AB=14cm and ∠CBD=90°
Area of big circle=πr2=π×7×7=49πcm2.
Similarly,
Area of circle with diameter AO=πr2=π×72×72=49π4cm2.
Area of triangle BCD=12×(CD×OB)=12(14×7)=49cm2.
Area of shaded region = Area of big circle - Area of circle with diameter AO - Area of triangle BCD
Area of shaded region = 49πcm2−49π4cm2−49cm2=66.5cm2.
