PRS=PQR+QPR ...(1)

Now, QTR+TQR=TRS

QTR+12×PQR=12PRS

2QTR+PQR=PRS .....(2)

From (1) and (2),

2QRT+PQR=PQR+QPR

2QTR=QPR

QRT=12QPR

comparing it with QRT=1kQPR

we get, k=2.
