In forward bias of p-n junction diode, p- type is connected to the positive terminal of the battery and n- type is connected to the negative terminal of the battery. Hence, electrons are attracted towards positive terminal of the battery and holes are attracted towards negative terminal of the battery. Hence, depletion region decreases and it behaves like a conductor.
