The correct option is A temperature becomes lower
In the fractionating column of fractional distillation, higher temperature becomes lower in column temperature becomes lower.
During distillation, hot vapours pass through the fractionating column. They pass their heat energy to the walls of the fractionating column and condense. This in turn heats up the column. More vapours pass through the lower end of the column than through the upper end of the column. Thus at the lower end of the fractionating column, the temperature is higher than at the higher end of the fractionating column.
