Power source characteristics is

Vp=36I60 ......(1)

Arc characteristics (Va) = 2la + 27 ....(2)

Equating these equations (1) & (2)

36I60=2la+27

I = 60×(92la)

Power
(P2)=(2la+27)×60×(92la)When la=3 mmP3=(2×3+27)×60×(92×3)=33×60×3=5940VAWhen la=4mmP4=(2×4+27)×60×(92×4)=35×60=2100VAChange in power of Arc
= 5940 - 2100 = 3840 VA
