In ΔDAC,

AD=AC (Given)

So, ADC=ACD (Angles opposite to equal sides)

Now, ADC is an exterior angle for ABD.

So, ADC>ABD

ACD>ABD

ACB>ABC

AB>AC (Side opposite to larger angle in ABC)

AB>AD (AD=AC) [henceproved]
