In given figure, shows a kite in which BCD is the shape of a quardrant of a circle of radius 42 cm. ABCD is a square and $\Delta CEF$ is an isosceles right angled triangle whose equal sides are 6 cm long. Find the area of the shaded region.

Area of shaded region = area quadrant + ar $△ECF$

$=\frac{\theta }{{360}^0}\times \pi r^2-\frac{1}{2}\times CF\times CE=\frac{{90}^0}{{360}^0}\times \frac{22}{7}\times {42}^2+\frac{1}{2}\times 6\times 6$

$=1386+18=1404{cm}^2$
