Open in App
Solution

Let n(S)= Number of students.
n(T)= Number of students who take tea.
n(C)= Number of students who take coffee.
n(D)= Student who take neither tea nor coffee.
n(S)=40;n(T)=26;n(C)=18;n(D)=8
n(TC)=n(S)n(D)
=408
n(TC)=32
Student who take both coffee and tea = TC
n(TC)=n(T)+n(C)n(TC)
=26+1832
n(TC)=12
Number of students who take both tea and coffee =12.
