Let Principal =P

Given: Amount =3P

Rate of Interest =25% p.a

Let Time=Tyears

Since, Amount = Principal + Simple Interest

3P=P+SISI=3P-PSI=2P

We know that

Simple interest =P×R×T100

Then,

2P=P×25×T100
T=2P×100P×25T=2×4T=8

Hence, the required time is 8 years.
