Question

Solution

(i) Yes, you are right. The medical expenses cost a heavy toll on the pocket of not just the poor but the middle class people too. Illness in poor family causes huge distress and anxiety among them because first they do not have that much money to carry out the medical activities. Secondly, since they are mostly uneducated people so they do not know who to consult at the first place.

(ii) We as responsible citizen should ensure that poor people have equal access to the medical facilities. Though the government has made several schemes to make the medical facilities affordable to the general public but due to lack of awareness they remain in distress. So we as responsible citizens should make them aware of such schemes and policies.
