In malignant tumors, the cells proliferate, grow rapidly and move to other parts of the body to form new tumors. This stage of disease is called
Metastasis
In the case of a malignant tumor, the cells divide more rapidly as they are inclined to grow faster and are more invasive. This tumor grows rapidly due to the nourishment and blood supply it gets. At times, a few cells break off from the tumorigenic mass and find their way into the bloodstream. This is known as metastasis.
