In nature, metal A is found in a free state while metal B is found in the form of its compounds. B of these two will be nearer to the top of the activity series of metals.
1) The metal 'B' will be nearer to the top of the activity series.
2) Metals at the top of the series indicate that they are very reactive metals.hence they can never be found in their free state.
3) Metals in the middle of the series are moderately reactive and are usually found in the form of their oxides, sulphides or carbonates.
