According to properties of parallelogram:
  • Opposite sides of parallelogram are parallel and equal.
  • Only opposite angles are equal.

Now, if ABCD is a parallelogram then,
AB=CD and BC=DA

Now, if adjacent sides are also equal i.e AB=AD
then AB=BC=CD=DA.


Now, figure ABCD has
  • Four equal sides
  • Equal opposite angles
Above two are properties of rhombus.

Hence, ABCD is rhombus.
Therefore, given statement is true.
